M’s been asking to go and see a castle since we arrived. I had a day out planned with a friend from college, Miranda, who’s here in England as well. The night before, J told me he had an appointment for the van to get the MOT done. Well there goes the kids day at the castle and the ocean. We went down to Huntingdon to do a walking tour of the historical sites, but with the snowmelt, there’s flooding. We walk around High Street and saw this beautif
ul church. M and B decide to guard the doors. Lil’ M joined in. I tasted my first meat pie, delish. We had a nice day, and M thought the church looked like a castle, so that took care of that for the time being. We also got to play at the park where they had a small maze of hedges. That was the highlight of the day for the kids. Ahhh, the simple pleasures.
M wondered why there was a quarter on the side of a building!
